As I’m sure most of you read WMs post about getting settled in. Thank God! It is awesome to be with my family again. Deployments come/go but when you know your wife/kids can be w/ you but the timing is bad and hands are tied, it f**kin’ sucks. It sure is nice to hear the little ones, the snap of crisp sheets at night, not eat off of paper/plastic dishes or out of a Styrofoam container or use plastic ware , not have to walk 100+ yards to shave/shower (etc!). My friend Ron (retired Navy O-6), who is also a culinary fiend like me, said it’s nice to see me not eating out of cans or boxes (WM makes sure I take my lunch!—guess she has 3 kids vice 2!) and working so much…too funny! He is a great man. Actually did dishes tonight—I evolved! Long way from tossing crap in the dumpster on my way to shower in the early a.m Life is good! Sorry been out so long…priorities…my family! Good vids for good measure…Kid posted before but I like it…Amen! “Swamp” already bringing back memories…similar look to where I lived up until last week…starting to think it should be a right of initiation kinda of like the Spartans (I’ve seen “300″ too much!). Last 9-10 months has been an experience (as Shorty would say, I’m a different breed), I survived w/ no problems (riding out tornado’s/water spouts) in a camper was, well, second by second decisions—horizontal rain sucks by the way—but wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy’s dog! But I guess when I have grandkids, I at least can tell them something other than war!—Be good to your self, TFD
